Pro Tips

正気を失う (shouki wo ushinau) means "to lose one's sanity" - a common phrase in psychological horror. The player character's sanity meter dropping is often expressed this way.
全部嘘だった (zenbu uso datta) means "It was all lies" - the classic revelation moment. When the protagonist realizes everything they believed was a fabrication, this phrase appears.
真犯人 vs 犯人 真犯人 (shinhannin) is the "true culprit" - the person really responsible. 犯人 (hannin) is just "the culprit." The distinction matters in mystery reveals!
お前が犯人だ (omae ga hannin da) means "You are the culprit" - the climactic accusation. Sometimes followed by the even more shocking 自分が犯人 (jibun ga hannin) - "I am the culprit."
トゥルーエンド (truue endo) is the "true ending" - the canonical conclusion to the story. Horror games often have multiple endings: バッドエンド (bad ending), グッドエンド (good ending), and the coveted true ending.
