Why This Book?

Every JRPG player has been there: you finally unlock the job system, but you cannot read which class does what. You pick 戦士 hoping it is the cool one, only to realize your party has no healer. Your 魔法使い keeps dying because you put them in the wrong row. This book covers everything from basic 職業 (classes) to advanced パーティー構成 (party composition) - so you can build the ultimate team instead of stumbling through menus.

Pro Tips

戦士 (senshi - warrior) is THE classic front-line fighter in JRPGs. High HP, heavy armor, big swords. Always put them in 前衛 (front row) to protect your squishier party members.
転職 (tenshoku - job change) is what you do when switching classes. In Dragon Quest III, you need to be level 20. In Final Fantasy V, you can change anytime. Always check the 転職条件 (requirements)!
ガンガンいこうぜ (gangan ikouze - go all out) is Dragon Quest's aggressive AI setting. Your party will use their best attacks and burn through MP fast. Great for grinding, terrible for boss fights where you need いのちだいじに (focus on survival).
前衛/後衛 (zenei/kouei - front row/back row) positioning is crucial. Put 戦士 and 騎士 in front, 魔法使い and 僧侶 in back. Wrong positioning = dead mages.
壊れ (koware - broken) is gamer slang for overpowered characters. When players call something ぶっ壊れ (bukkoware), it means game-breakingly strong. Look for these characters in tier lists!
